Description |
“Ledges Trail: the woman in the stone” is written for a standard, open-hole flute with gizmo key. The piece uses many of the standard extended techniques, including multiphonics, flutter tongue, and air sounds. Many of the air sounds are also intended to produce multiphonics, and function harmonically. To achieve the desired harmonic result, the pitches that form the multiphonics should be vivid and salient, and the multiphonics should be tuned to one another. Fingerings are provided on the score. |
